SUMMARY:Washington State PTA Legislative Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The Washington State PTA legislative platform is a two-year platform to mirror the Washington state legislative cycle. On the even-numbered years\, the new platform is voted on by members at the legislative assembly in the fall. The top five issues become our short-term platform and consist of our priority issues when advocating throughout the year. Other issues are placed on an “also supported” list. \nWSPTA members\, with a paid membership\, can attend this year’s virtual legislative assembly. The cost to participate is $25. Student participation is $10. This includes access to caucusing and classes. Only those members designated as a delegate will be able to debate and vote at the general sessions on October 24 and 25. \nThe legislative assembly will span September 29 through October 25\, visit the Schedule of Events page for details. \nRegistration is now open and will close on October 8.\nStudents wishing to register should contact support@wastatepta.org.
